Dear fellow members of Korean Society for Laboratory Medicine, how are you?

Throughout the past three years of the pandemic caused by COVID-19 infection, the Department of Laboratory Medicine, which has played a pivotal role in medical care behind the stage, has now moved to the center of the stage and is attracting attention thanks to your dedication.

While watching the Department of Laboratory Medicine continuously developing despite the difficult environment at home and abroad, I am deeply moved. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the executive branch of the society, colleagues, seniors and juniors, and all those involved.

We're "One Team" and "Single Laboratory Medicine (OneLM)."
In the future, I hope that it will become a more exemplary society, promoting more balanced development among departments, and allowing members to grow together through academic activities. I ask for your interest and participation.

The esteemed Korean Society for Laboratory Medicine Members,

We will do our best to improve the development of laboratory medicine and the status of laboratory medicine specialists, and further contribute to the improvement of public health through professional and reliable laboratory tests.

In a situation where the importance of laboratory medicine is greatly recognized nationally due to the COVID-19 incident, we deeply appreciate the efforts of the members of the society who are performing their roles as specialists in laboratory medicine in the medical field.

Since its foundation in 1980, the Korean Society for Laboratory Medicine has made remarkable progress through numerous difficulties and twists and turns through outstanding foresight and dedication of its members, members, councilors, and previous executives. The successful hosting of the LMCE, which has established itself as an international academic conference in the Asia-Pacific region, and the international journal Annals of Laboratory Medicine and Open Access, both international and international journals, demonstrate the enhanced status and enhanced competitiveness of the Korean Society for Laboratory Medicine

The Korean Society for Laboratory Medicine is facing continuous challenges from both inside and outside the rapidly changing medical environment. At this point, when hard work is needed to fundamentally solve and cope with the current issues, we will make several crises into another opportunity and turn them into a springboard for a leap forward with the members of the society.

We will promote the development of Laboratory medicine by laying the foundation for the use of big data to lead the era of the 4th industrial revolution that has already arrived and seeking coexistence through cooperation in various ways with the industry.

In the future, I will further solidify my field as a specialist in laboratory medicine and focus on strengthening the professional competence of the academy. In addition, I will expand communication with the academy through transparent and open management of the academy. We will maintain close cooperative relationships such as industry-academia research at a time when the role of the laboratory medicine society and the academy is becoming important in line with the rapid development of the in vitro diagnostic industry.

We will do our best to contribute to the development of laboratory medicine, enhance the status of laboratory medicine specialists, and further contribute to the promotion of public health through professional and reliable diagnostic tests. We deeply appreciate your affection and dedication to the society, and we ask for your continued interest and participation.
