In light of AMS, Pr Livermore and Dr Brealey will discuss the rationale for empiric antibiotic prescriptions in these patients and the current evidence on secondary infections. They will share their experience incorporating a rapid diagnostic assay in the treatment algorithm and its impact on patients management. Finally, they will present their learnings from the first wave and advice for a potential second wave on this topic.
